To compare Record STA21 and STA22, identify the single-leaf E-STA or two-leaf D-STA arrangement first, then check the relevant market and document version. In the Group product pages reviewed here, STA21 lists 1×120 kg for E-STA21 and 2×75 kg for D-STA21. The STA22 DUO/RED weight fields list 1×250 kg and 2×200 kg respectively. Read these figures with the door arrangement, passage dimensions and proposed configuration; the family number or combined leaf weight does not establish a selection.
Compare four complete model descriptions
The Group pages describe STA21 for light to medium-heavy door applications and STA22 for heavier leaves and special entrances. Those descriptions help identify relevant documents. The comparison still needs the complete model.
The table below follows the Group English product pages checked on 30 October 2026 for standard sliding doors. E-STA has one moving leaf; D-STA has two. It does not include the telescopic TSA columns. These are figures from the identified documents, not approval of an arbitrary site configuration.
| Item | E-STA21, one leaf | D-STA21, two leaves | E-STA22, one leaf | D-STA22, two leaves |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Door leaf weight field | 1×120 kg | 2×75 kg | 1×250 kg | 2×200 kg |
| Passage width A | 800–2000 mm | 800–2500 mm | 800–3000 mm | 800–3000 mm |
| Passage height G | 2500 mm | 2500 mm | 3000 mm | 3000 mm |
| Listed operator height | 108/150 mm | 108/150 mm | 200 mm | 200 mm |
The STA22 weights come from the fields labelled DUO/RED on the product page. Keep those designations with the proposed configuration. A denotes passage width and G passage height; they are not automatically the leaf dimensions, structural opening or complete installation allowances.
The notation 2×75 kg identifies two leaves under the conditions of that field. It does not permit substitution of one 150 kg leaf. Likewise, the STA22 single-leaf 250 kg value cannot be transferred directly to a two-leaf model. Obtain the weight basis for each complete moving leaf, including its construction and attached moving components, rather than providing only an estimate for a sheet of glass.
Documents in the same download library may identify different market versions
This review also checked the Record STA 21 Sliding Door leaflet and the Record STA 21 factsheet. The leaflet is marked 11/2016, document 102-099.861; its standard sliding-door entries correspond to the STA21 figures above. The other sheet explicitly labels its table STA21au and identifies an Australian publisher in the footer. Retain those details when comparing documents.
| Identification point | Group page / 2016 STA21 leaflet | Australian factsheet labelled STA21au |
|---|---|---|
| Two-leaf standard sliding weight | D-STA21: 2×75 kg | Bi-Parting STA21au: 2×100 kg |
| Operator height description | 108/150 mm | Standard 160 mm; low-profile 110 mm |
| Supply description | 230 V, 50/60 Hz | 100–240 V AC, 50 Hz |
This comparison demonstrates why document identity matters. It does not decide which regional version should be supplied for a project. Combining a higher leaf weight from one document, a broader supply range from another and the smallest housing from a third would create a specification without a matching source.
Ask the supplier to identify the full proposed model, applicable market or version, document title and revision, then match the dimensions, weights and supply information. For an overseas project, also record the installation country, site conditions and required document language. The international project enquiry guide provides a corresponding preparation method.
Read the conditions attached to the leaflet's 20% note
The 2016 STA21 leaflet describes a conditional increase of up to 20% in leaf weight with reference to the examination certificate and reduced acceleration. That is different from applying a universal 20% sizing reserve, and it is not permission to increase the weight accepted for a particular project.
Where a proposed leaf approaches a documented value, the construction changes, or additional conditions are being considered, ask the responsible technical party to state the document, model, configuration and applicability conditions being used. Keep the review outcome and accepted parameters with the proposed configuration, and leave unresolved conditions open for review.
The documents reviewed here do not provide a STA21/STA22 selection table using daily cutoffs of 500 or 2000 people. Traffic information can be a project input, together with peak use, operating needs, door construction and controls. A daily headcount does not replace configuration review.
Build a candidate configuration that can be traced to its documents
Use the following sequence to collect inputs and obtain comparable supplier replies. It identifies missing information; fitting a number in the table does not automatically approve a model.
- Identify the door arrangement and moving leaves. Separate standard sliding, telescopic and other door types. Record one or two moving leaves and retain the full proposed designation.
- Record dimensions and weights separately. List the structural opening, required passage, individual leaf dimensions, complete leaf weight basis and available installation and maintenance space.
- Match document identity. Keep the model, market or version, document title, identifier and revision with the table or page being used.
- Review the system configuration. List activation and safety devices, operating controls, locking and interface requirements. Identify who will confirm compatibility and the required operating states.
- Define site and handover responsibilities. Obtain replies on supply conditions, installation, responsible parties, commissioning and acceptance records, and subsequent service. Keep unconfirmed items separate.
Download the STA21/STA22 model and document comparison sheet in English, CSV to keep project inputs, two candidate replies, document evidence and responsible parties together. A matching Chinese sheet is available. Neither contains a prefilled approval, price or lead time.
Confirm quotation, acceptance and service scope separately
A quotation stating only “one STA21 set” still needs the arrangement, full version, door construction, activation and safety configuration, controls, locking, installation and delivery scope. Identical family names with different scope do not make quotations directly comparable. The site's configuration and quotation checklist, in Chinese explains the general scope categories.
Obtain project-specific replies for price, stock, warranty and attendance arrangements. These do not follow from a leaf-weight table or product brochure. Keep dated changes when the quoted configuration or equipment schedule changes.
Installation, commissioning and safety checks need the documents applicable to the actual equipment and configuration and the people responsible for that work. Record the method, equipment used, findings and unresolved items. A person is not a substitute for purpose-designed test equipment. Review power-loss, fire-alarm, locking and operator states for the actual system rather than adopting a universal “manually push after power loss” acceptance statement.
When requesting installation or wiring documents, include equipment and control-component identification. The manual and wiring-document matching guide, in Chinese provides a document-classification approach using DFA127 as an example; the documents for a proposed STA system must instead match that STA equipment.
Frequently asked questions
How do the STA21 and STA22 leaf weights compare?
The reviewed Group pages list E-STA21 at 1×120 kg and D-STA21 at 2×75 kg. The STA22 DUO/RED fields list E-STA22 at 1×250 kg and D-STA22 at 2×200 kg. Check the door arrangement, moving-leaf count, passage dimensions and proposed configuration together.
Why does another STA21 sheet show 100 kg per leaf for a two-leaf door?
The Australian factsheet reviewed here labels its table STA21au and lists 2×100 kg for the bi-parting standard sliding arrangement. Do not remove the version identity and treat it as interchangeable with the Group D-STA21 entry. Confirm the complete model and document applicability for procurement.
Is a universal 20% reserve required when selecting the operator?
That conclusion does not follow from the reviewed documents. The relevant 2016 STA21 leaflet note describes additional conditions involving the examination certificate and reduced acceleration. The responsible technical party must confirm applicability to the actual project.
Does laminated glass or high traffic always require STA22?
First establish the complete leaf weight, dimensions, operating needs, installation space and system configuration, then check the proposed model's documents. A glass description or one daily traffic figure cannot determine the model on its own.
Does this comparison provide ready-to-use installation dimensions or wiring instructions?
It compares document entries and organises selection information. Installation dimensions, fixing conditions, wiring, commissioning and inspection procedures require documents for the actual equipment and configuration and confirmation by the responsible implementing parties.
How can I obtain a reliable price, stock and warranty reply?
Provide the project location, complete model or door requirements, door construction information and requested scope to Mr Wang at 河南联同创 on +86 13271597000. Request separate confirmation of price, stock, delivery, implementation and warranty in the project quotation and service documents.
